October - January
Fishing these months are best for Snapper, Blackfin Tuna, Grouper, Kingfish, Wahoo and a lot of Sailfish. Most of our fishing this time of year is done with 12-20lb. spining tackle. Catching lots of live bait is one of our specialities and is really effective for attracting many varieties of fish this time of year. On an average day we will catch more than 10 different species this time of season. Average running time is 15 minutes to fishing grounds.
February - April
These months offer much the same varities as the previous months with good Grouper, Wahoo, Cobia, Big Kingfish, Blackfin Tuna, Amberjack and Sailfish action with Dolphin (aka "Mahi-Mahi") showing up gradually towards the end of March and April. Approximate running time is 25 minutes to fishing grounds.
May - mid-August
Prime Dolphin fishing is now with some Marlin and Sailfish action. The Reef also offers good Mutton or Yellowtail Snapper. Average running time is 40 minutes to fishing grounds.
Mid-August - September
Late August is always reliable for good Dolphin fishing into September with great King fishing and wreck fishing. Average running time is 20 minutes to fishing grounds.
